Spring & Summer Fragrances

Now that spring is here and summer is around the corner, I’ve found myself obsessed with curating the perfect fragrance collection. A collection to capture all the smells and memories of the Spring and Summer seasons. If you have found yourself in a similar situation then keep reading for some of my favorite perfumes for the warmer months ahead.

Also, if you are a Sephora Beauty Insider (if you aren’t a member, sign up here) you can save on these fragrances with their upcoming VIB sale (Insider sale starts 4/15 with VIB & Rogue sales starting 4/13 & 4/9 respectively). Be on the lookout for another post detailing all the things to stock up on during the next Sephora VIB sale, but today we are just talking about fragrance. I should point out that I realize blind buying fragrances without smelling them first isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, so if you are in an area where stores are open and you can sample I would suggest going that route. Another option is buying the travel size or body spray version of these scents when available which is a great way to save money upfront, however, these are often more expensive per ounce so if you already know you love it the savings come with bigger bottles.

When that time comes you can be sure posts will likely include items that I have mentioned previously because I only recommend things I truly love!

Tom Ford Soleil Blanc A.K.A Summer in a bottle. This is a polarizing fragrance with some people loving it and others saying it smells too much like sunscreen. Admittedly, when I first tried the shimmer oil it wasn’t love at first sniff. Don’t get me wrong I liked it immediately, but I wasn’t sure if I needed the perfume too. Well after letting it dry down and living with it all day I couldn’t stop smelling myself & I was hooked. This is definitely something I will keep in rotation for years to come as it’s just such a perfect luxurious summer scent. I may start with the body spray similar to what I did with Soleil Neige (See this post) before moving on to the Eu De Parum (EDP) during the next sale because when it comes to this scent, I want it all.
Key Notes: Bergamot, Pistachio, Coco de Mer
Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue: I had this fragrance years ago and I loved it but I think after moving a few times I eventually lost it (not that there was much left in the bottle by that time). I had honestly forgotten about it until recently when I saw it pop up on a lot of Youtuber’s favorite summer scents lists. It is a really fruity, fresh, floral, summery scent and I can’t wait to add this back into my collection.
Key Notes: Citrus, Apple, Bamboo

Chanel Chance Eu Tendre (EDP): I had a sample of this that I had forgotten about and again, when I kept seeing my favorite YouTuber’s talk about it, I decided to try it out and it is truly so good. I have about one spray left in the sample bottle and I need to get this larger bottle ASAP because I am in love with this fresh, floral scent and although I am including it here because it gives spring vibes (Hello pink in a bottle), it can definitely hold it’s own as a signature everyday fragrance.
Key Notes: Grapefruit, Quince, Rose Accord, White Musk

Bvlgari Au The Blanc: I have had this for a few years and although I like to change up my scents by my mood, outfit, season, etc. I find this one just goes with every occasion. It is unique yet light and gives you a perfectly clean scent. Never overpowering yet always getting compliments this is a forever favorite that I will continue to purchase.
Key Notes: Artemisia, Musk, White Tea
Veronique Gabai Noire de Mai: A self-described “vacation in a bottle” Noire de Mai is not your everyday fragrance. It is a powerful scent with notes of wood, florals, and a hint of Amber. I have seen reviewers online describe this as “old lady” or “too grandma” and while I can see where that would come from I like to think of it more as a classy, rich, elegant lady scent, also the older women in my life have always smelled amazing so “old lady” scents aren’t necessarily a bad thing in my book 🙂 I have the travel size for now but I definitely plan to purchase the big bottle soon. Unfortunately, this isn’t available on Sephora so I will be on the lookout elsewhere for sales.
Key Notes: Bergamot, Mandarin, Rose Centifolia, Rose Damascena, Pink Pepper, Patchouli, and Amber.
