I was recently inspired by one of my new favorite YouTubers Cheraye C. Lewis, who had a video dedicated to the best fragrances to wear to brunch. I enjoyed her concept so much I thought why not do a similar series here! Starting with date night. As much as I love brunch I wanted to focus on a different occasion; at least for now 🙂 And since no outing or occasion is complete without an appropriate outfit I have below some date night-worthy fragrance outfit combos. Staying in or going out there is a look/scent for every occasion. Enjoy!
Movie Night In: Although you can dress much more comfortably, date night in is no less romantic. This outfit is cute and cozy and Mojave Ghost by Byredo is perfect for the occasion. A light powdery fragrance with notes of amber & musk, it is an inviting fragrance not at all overbearing, perfect for cozying up at home.

Dinner Date: I recently had a chance to sample Baccarat Rouge 540 for the first time (apparently I am very late to the Maison Francis Kurkdjian party)and I can honestly say the hype is real & warranted. I’ve been wearing it around the house nonstop because I wanted to make sure I really loved it since it is pretty pricey, but it is a scent that definitely calls for a night on the town. Pro tip: Purchase a sample set directly from the MFK website and that purchase goes towards the purchase of a full-sized bottle. Also, the conversion from Euros to USD makes this a cheaper purchase directly on the site, versus the US department store price.
First Date worthy: Perhaps not the most unique scent on this list, Libre by YSL is still one of my all-time favorites. I just purchased a set on sale at Nordstrom and it does not disappoint. Familiar, yet alluring this is perfect for a first date (or fiftieth date for that matter). This is a great staple fragrance that will compliment so many occasions and looks such as this one.
Outfit details: Top handle bag, black bodysuit, white trousers, chandelier earrings (I purchased a very similar, much, much, cheaper pair from Baublebar years ago but I can’t seem to find them online right now. I will update this post if they become available.), Black sandals.
Al fresco Happy Hour: Described by the creator as a way to celebrate Africa, and the way African culture has Globally influenced so much art, fashion, and music, Bal D’Afrique is a beautiful fragrance that transports you through scent and is made for adventurous travel. However, assuming most of us are staying close to home right now this is still appropriate at an outdoor happy hour or a dimly lit dinner on your patio, rooftop, etc. you get the idea. Whatever the location this fragrance calls for printed details, gold jewelry, and easy minimalist sandals.
Outfit Details: Basic t-shirt, shorts, nude bag, gold hoops & bangle (recently sold out; another option here), leopard print sandals (yes, these are just overpriced Teva sandals but I can’t help but love them!)
